This is the Festival's 40th Anniversary so
there is much to celebrate. A biennial event, the program includes music,
visual art, dance and theatre. The Storytelling program is particularly
rich this year but these are our top picks!
Jan
('Yarn') Wositzky’s
Bilarni
Jan 'Yarn' Wositzky from Storytelling Vic
will be there with his show Bilarni. It has been said, that Bilarni is Jan's
finest piece to date, as he recounts his journeys 'up north' into
Aboriginal Australia, tracking our greatest ever yarnspinner, WE (Bill) Harney
(1985-1962). Jan plays Harney as well as many other characters, and brings us
the best of Harney's writing and radio broadcasts, linked with his own stories
from a land where everything and nothing is black and white.
