A contingent of Vic Guild Storytellers have been supporting the Village Festival since 2008.

A remarkable and unique explosion of creativity and mayhem including dancing, music, food, wine and of course storytelling.

Matteo, Susan Pepper, Cora Zon, JB Rowley, Helen Lawry (now SA) and Jackie Kerin have all brought stories to The Village.

This year Jackie will be back in the little storytelling tent with her ukulele, kamishibai and paper folding magic.

The Village has a packed program - storytelling is on Saturday midday - 5.00

Anne E Stewart at Dysart, Queensland mining town

Anne E Stewart has been working at Dysart, a central Queensland mining town.

Last weekend she drove along the Fitzroy Development Road, back to Rockhampton and Yeppoon and spent the weekend with Queensland Storyteller Bettina Nissen at Yeppoon.

On Sunday Bettina and Anne sailed to Great
Keppel, snorkelled and saw many fish and sting rays. Annie even saw a dolphin frolicking around the harbour at Rosslyn Bay.

And all the time there was much talk of story and ideas.

Bettina has sent this photo of Anne for the Vic blog ... with the wind in her hair.

Thanks Bettina for the photo and news of our intrepid Vic Storyteller.

Children's Week Events: Matteo and Anne E Stewart. October 2011

Children's Week is an annual event celebrated in Australia during the fourth week in October.

In 1996 it was decided to adopt a permanent theme: 'A Caring World Shares'.

A diverse range of events and activities are organised at National, State and Local levels.

These focus the attention of the wider community on children, their needs and achievements.
