The International Storytelling Network encouraged us all to celebrate Global Storytelling Day on June 21 with 'Stories to Change the World'.
In its fourth year, a total of 660 storytellers from 34
countries on five continents participated: Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada,
Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, El
Salvador, France, Germany, Guatemala, Honduras, India, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico,
Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Spain,
Taiwan, UK, Uruguay, USA, Venezuela.
Victorian Storyteller Peter Fernon and Musician Charles Affleck performed Gilgamesh: He who saw the Deep at a House Concert - a profane, solemn and bawdy retelling of the world's oldest written story.
